PHOENIX, Arizona, April 25. DURING the past week, the following meet managers took full advantage of uploading recent results to the Swimming World meet results section of the website.<\/p>\n

\nGCST SPRING INVITATIONAL
\nThe Gulf Coast Swim Team held its Spring Invitational meet April 19-21 at the Florida Gold Coast University Aquatic Center in Fort Myers, Florida. <\/p>\n
Swim Florida was the combined (2,185 points), girls (1,118) and boys (997) team champion. Taking second place in all three categories was the host Gulf Coast team, with 1,313 total points (697 girls, 616 boys). Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team was third overall (363), followed by Asoc. de Natacion Indoor Club (148) and Club Acuatico DE Bayamon (119).<\/p>\n
High-point champions included Clarice Spencer, Swim Florida and Matthew Verwest, Gulf Coast (8-and-under); Olivia McMurray and Michael Brent, Swim Florida (10-and-under); Hannah VanDress and Zachary Brewer, Gulf Coast (11-12); Sydney McMurray and Michael Walch, Swim Florida (13-14); and Courtney DeVeny and Matt Nielsen, Gulf Coast (senior).<\/p>\n

COLLEGE
\nECC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
\nFor the third straight year, Colorado swept the team titles at the East Coast Collegiate Swim and Dive Club National Championships April 19-21 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. A total of 59 teams with 1,145 athletes took to the pool.<\/p>\n
In the combined team race, Colorado scored 2,003 points, ahead of Florida (1,580), Missouri (963), Penn State (825) and Connecticut (716). The Buffalo women contributed 1,073 of those points, finishing well ahead of Florida (699), Missouri (441), Connecticut (426) and Penn State (383). Colorado’s men put together 930 points for first, with Florida taking second (881), Missouri (522), Penn State (442) and North Carolina State (410).<\/p>\n
Anna Macht of Darton State was the women’s high-point champion. She set meet records of 1:05.45 in winning the 100 yard breast and 58.80 in the 100 back, and also was victorious in the 50 back (27.57) and 50 breast (30.38). Macht placed second in the 50 fly (26.10). <\/p>\n
Florida teammates James Turner and Will Walters tied for men’s high-point honors. They finished 1-2 in the 200 free, with Walters coming out on top (1:43.36 to 1:44.58). Walters also placed first in the 200 fly (meet record 1:53.40) plus the 200 and 400 IM (1:53.14 and 4:10.42), and picked up second in the 100 IM (52.22). Turner finished on top in the 50 and 100 free (20.66 and 45.85) as well as the 50 and 100 fly (22.86 and 50.28). <\/p>\n
