Dressel&#8217;s lead off time was also an American record, breaking\u00a0<strong>Anthony Ervin&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2012 record of 20.85.<\/p>\n<p>Just behind them was the team from the Netherlands, who put up a good fight for silver. The Dutch team of\u00a0<strong>Jesse Puts\u00a0<\/strong>(21.17),\u00a0<strong>Stan Pijnenburg\u00a0<\/strong>(21.18), Kromowidjojo (23.09), and Hemmskerk (23.07) touched in 1:28.51, just missing their national record.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comerford\u00a0(on the mixed relay format): <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cIt was awesome to be on a relay with these guys. The mixed relay also adds a bit of a different feel to it. Being able to race with two boys and of course Kelsi is always so much fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dressel\u00a0(on his leadoff split): <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cThere\u2019s always room for improvement, but on these relays you\u2019re only a quarter of the race so you\u2019ve got to make sure you do your job as best you can. That\u2019s my goal.
