Meagher&#8217;s 1981 15-16 200 SCY FLY NAG Record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> continued her successful weekend at the 2018 Speedo Junior National Championships West with a dominating showing in the final of the women&#8217;s 200 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Smith, representing Riptide Swim Team, flew to an immediate lead over the competition and continued to build her lead as she propelled herself closer and closer to the finish and\u00a0<strong>Mary T. Meagher&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>elusive 1981 National Age Group (NAG) record.<\/p>\n<p>There was little doubt in the final 50 yards that Smith was going to achieve her feat; she had turned at the 150 yard mark with a time of 1:21.38, leaving her 31.60 seconds to make it to the wall and claim her next NAG record. It only took her 29.53 seconds.
