DANIEL Fogg took the mantle back to Great Britain in Cozumel when he won a tremendous battle in Mexico at yesterday&#039;s stage on the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup marathon swimming circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The Mexican stage on the pro circuit on the stunning island of Cozumel lived up to its billing. The race gave those who won a great boost going into the upcoming World Swimming Championships in Barcelona. It also gave great feedback to others who did not perform as well as they had hoped &#8211; and gave indication to them as to what they need to work on.<\/p>\n<p>The currents swished the athletes here and there. Athletes needed strength, speed, stamina as well as spot-on navigational IQ and a brutal toughness about them &#8211; as well as a bit of luck &#8211; to finish in the top 10 in Cozumel. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The currents, conditions, and competition separated the boys from the men, that&#039;s for sure,&#8221; said one of the observers.
