Katie Meili<\/strong>\u00a0talked to the media on Monday night in New York City at the 2018 Golden Goggles Awards show where she discussed her excitement for being back in New York where she went to college. Meili graduated from Columbia in 2013.<\/p>\n

Meili also talked about getting the opportunity to swim on a relay with her childhood swimming idol\u00a0Kristy Kowal<\/strong>. She also took us through the dress she was wearing and said she looked like the red emoji.<\/p>\n

Meili is coming off a summer where she finished second in the 100 breast at Nationals. Meili will not be swimming at World Championships next summer, but she did qualify to swim at the Short Course World Championships<\/a> in December in a few weeks. Meili is also in the middle of grad school<\/a> at Georgetown School of Law in DC.<\/p>\n
