Smoliga took us through what she is wearing, and in the process got video bombed by none other than backstroke legend\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Smoliga is coming off a summer where she placed second in the 100 back at Nationals this summer, earning herself a spot on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-finalizes-46-strong-roster-for-2019-world-cha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Championship team<\/a> for next year.<\/p>\n<p>Smoliga also tried her hand in a new event in 2018, the 200 backstroke. Normally known as a sprinter, Smoliga swam the 200 back a few times this summer at the Pro Swim Series, and then ended up placing fifth in the final.
