NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of New Hampshire has gained a new commitment for the fall of 2019 from Rochester, New York freestyle specialist\u00a0Mackenzi Doescher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Doescher does her club swimming with\u00a0Fairport Area Swim Team (FAST) and capped off her summer season with six races at the ISCA Senior Championships. She placed seventh in the 1000 free at the Niagara Championships and won the 500 free at Eastern Zones.\u00a0The team captain for Brighton High School,\u00a0Doescher is a four-time New York Federation Championship finalist. She recently led her team to their second-straight Section V\/Class B Championship title where she earned individual gold medals in the 200 free and 500 free; the latter breaking a 30-year-old record.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I’m so thankful to be able to announce my commitment to swim division 1 and continue my academics at the University of New Hampshire! Thank you so much to all my friends, family and coaches that helped me get to where I am today, I couldn’t have done it without all my supporters!
