McLaughlin also took us through what she was wearing and how long it took her to get ready.<\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin was up for the Perseverance Award at the Golden Goggles for making her first National team for the first time since 2015. She placed second in the 100 fly at Nationals this summer, which earned her spot on the Pan Pac team in Japan. She\u2019s been on the comeback trail ever since, and McLaughlin completed her return to major international competition with a runner-up finish in the 100m butterfly at Phillips 66 Nationals in a lifetime-best swim of 57.51.
