King touched the wall in 56.43, just short of breaking her own American and NCAA record of 56.25. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is the seventh time King has swum under 57 seconds in the 100 breast, giving her 7 of the top 10 times in history. And while this is not her first time under 57 seconds, it <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the first time she has been that fast this early in the college season, and the fastest she has ever been at a mid-season invitational. King\u2019s fastest time from this season was a 57.85 from the ACC vs B1G College Challenge last weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The world record holder also posted the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lilly-king-unleashes-sixth-fastest-200-breast-ever-in-scy-at-indiana-invite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sixth-fastest time ever in the 200-yard breaststroke<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2:03.60) to close the meet.
