She capped off her long course season with six best times at Western Zone Seniors and placed fourth in the mile at the Arizona Senior Open last winter. Also competing for\u00a0Palo Verde High School, Blackert\u00a0finished fourth in the 500 free at the Nevada State Championships during her junior season.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;I&#8217;m excited to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic careers at Dixie State University! I believe Coach McAllister is building something very special, and I&#8217;m thrilled to be a part of it! I&#8217;m blessed to soon be swimming with an incredible group that will better me in and out of the pool.
