For the fifth-straight year, Gulliver Prep were crowned girls&#8217; team champions with 284 points ahead of Holy Names (165).<\/p>\n<p>Full results can be found on Meet Mobile &#8211; 2018 FHSAA Swimming &amp; Diving Championships 2A.<\/p>\n<h1>Girls Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Gulliver Prep &#8211; 284<br \/>\n2. Holy Names &#8211; 165<br \/>\n3. Gulf Breeze &#8211; 156<br \/>\n4. Fort Walton Beach &#8211; 135<br \/>\n5. Land O&#8217;Lakes &#8211; 129<\/p>\n<p>The meet began as Gulliver Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kayla Kraft<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Hernandez<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Emily Cordovi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Cassandra June Kraft\u00a0<\/strong>won the opening 4\u00d750 medley relay in 1:46.03. Fort Walton Beach (1:48.46) and Gulf Breeze (1:49.90) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 free title went to Bayshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryley Ober <\/strong>who\u00a0shaved a second from her prelims swim and was the only swimmer to break the 1:50 mark, doing so in 1:48.93 for her third-straight win in the event.\u00a0Wolfson\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Sykes\u00a0<\/strong>was took a second-place showing in 1:50.72 while Land O&#8217;Lake\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ward\u00a0<\/strong>wound up third in 1:51.835.<\/p>\n<p>Cape Coral&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Rodriquez\u00a0<\/strong>took the top spot in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:06.43 for the win. Gulf Breeze&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cali Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>snagged second in 2:07.05 and Tavares&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Naomi Filkin\u00a0<\/strong>dropped over four seconds from her prelims time to take third in 2:07.86.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chloe Hernandez\u00a0<\/strong>of Gulliver Prep splashed and dashed her way to victory in the 50 free, sprinting home in 23.90. Port St. Lucie&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Evans\u00a0<\/strong>also snuck under 24 seconds in 23.97 for second and Land O&#8217;Lake\u2019s <strong>Romina\u00a0McCloskey\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 24.17.<\/p>\n<p>Clay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sara Stotler\u00a0<\/strong>flew to first in the 100 fly, powering her way to the wall in 54.82 to hold off the runner-up by about two-tenths. Cordovi was the second-place finisher in 55.02 and Sykes took third in 55.86.<\/p>\n<p>Ober&#8217;s second individual gold medal of the night came in the 100 free, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ryley-ober-and-ashley-turak-add-verbal-commitments-to-indiana-hoosiers-class-of-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Indiana commit<\/a> posted a winning time of 51.00 to defend her title. After taking third in the 50 free, McCloskey raced to the runner-up spot n 52.36 and Hernandez took third in 52.97.<\/p>\n<p>Not too long after earning bronze in the 200 free, Ward found herself on top of the podium in the 500 free as the only swimmer under the five-minute mark in 4:57.21. Silver went to <strong>Cassidy Neely\u00a0<\/strong>(5:04.64) of Holy Names and bronze belonged to\u00a0<strong>Jenna Hess\u00a0<\/strong>(5:0.13) of Merritt Island.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez and June Kraft teamed up with Gulliver Prep teammates\u00a0<strong>Daniela Luchau\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sarah Abril\u00a0<\/strong>to win the 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:37.56, about a half-second ahead of Suncoast (1:39.01) and Land O&#8217;Lakes (1:39.28).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/seminoles-receive-verbal-from-four-time-fhsaa-2a-champion-emily-cordovi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida State commit<\/a> Cordovi won her third-consecutive 2A 100 back title in 56.59, holding off a charging\u00a0Filkin (56.89) for the win. Gulf Breeze&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Makayla Ludwick\u00a0<\/strong>delivered a third-place showing in 57.11.<\/p>\n<p>After taking second in the 200 IM, Wilson found herself on top of the podium in the 100 breast after getting her hands to the wall first in 1:04.92. O. Hernandez was close behind in 1:05.13 for second and Fort Walton Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Victoria Orcutt<\/strong> was third in 1:06.35.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Moore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Blair Isenhour\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board, posting a final score of 375.05 for the win. Pompano Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christina Hilton\u00a0<\/strong>dove to second with a score of 371.60 and third went to Dunedin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lexi Atherholt\u00a0<\/strong>with 365.60 points.<\/p>\n<p>Gulliver Prep secured their team victory and relay swim as Cordovi, C. Hernandez, O. Hernandez and\u00a0<strong>Sarah Abril\u00a0<\/strong>won the 4&#215;100 free relay to conclude the girls&#8217; meet in 3:32.30 ahead of Suncoast (3:36.09) and Gulf Breeze (3:36.83).<\/p>\n<h1>Boys Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Jesuit &#8211; 212.5<br \/>\n2. Gulliver Prep &#8211; 179<br \/>\n3. Land O&#8217;Lakes &#8211; 161<br \/>\n4. Mater Lakes &#8211; 125<br \/>\n4. Cape Coral &#8211; 125<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Shaffer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Anthony Kirchner<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Robbie Shaffer<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Alex\u00a0Caceres\u00a0<\/strong>began the boys&#8217; meet as victors in the 4&#215;50 medley relay with a finalist time of 1:36.91. Mater Lakes (1:37.69) and Cape Coral (1:38.60) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Merritt Island&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lucas Kravchenko<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/florida-gators-pick-up-in-state-verbal-from-lucas-kravchenko\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who will swim for the Gators next fall<\/a>, cruised to first in the 200 free with a winning time of 1:40.57. Cape Coral&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>John Pellegrino\u00a0<\/strong>swam to second in 1:41.93 while Gulliver Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan\u00a0Rodriquez\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 1:42.36.<\/p>\n<p>Paxon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tyler Watson\u00a0<\/strong>led the charge in the 200 IM, getting to the wall the fastest in 1:49.11.\u00a0MOSL\u00a0<strong>Spencer Sehlhorst\u00a0<\/strong>also snuck under 1:50, doing so in 1:49.86 for second while Cape Coral&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Steven Rua\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:51.65.<\/p>\n<p>Land O&#8217;Lake\u00a0took the top two spots in the 50 free, led by senior\u00a0<strong>Patryk Pilkowski\u00a0<\/strong>who splashed and dashed his way to the win in 20.87. Close behind was sophomore teammate\u00a0<strong>Zuri Ramsey\u00a0<\/strong>in 20.98 and Mourning\u00a0<strong>Andrew Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 21.14.<\/p>\n<p>Watson added the 100 fly gold to his 200 IM championship title, flying to the wall first in 48.82 to defend his title.\u00a0Stanton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Jones\u00a0<\/strong>was also under the 50-second mark in 49.51 for second as Baker County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Braeden Knight\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the podium in 50.31.<\/p>\n<p>Dreyfoos&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Reese Branzell\u00a0<\/strong>sprinted home to 100 free victory by over a full second in a quick 45.53. Ponte Vedra&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Max Milicevic\u00a0<\/strong>swam to second place in 46.66 while 50 free runner-up Ramsey finished third in 46.71.<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brendan Driscoll<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/duke-gets-verbal-from-florida-2a-state-champion-brendan-driscoll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who is headed to Duke next year<\/a>,\u00a0defended his 500 free title with a winning time of 4:32.29. Bayshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Kalaman\u00a0<\/strong>wasn&#8217;t too far behind in 4:33.82 for second as Bishop Moore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Brewer\u00a0<\/strong>completed the top three in 4:35.29.<\/p>\n<p>Land O&#8217;Lakes&#8217; Pilkowski,\u00a0<strong>Ravidu Idippilo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jack Kaatze<\/strong> and\u00a0Ramsey teamed up for win the 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:25.68. Pompano Beach finished second in 1:26.37 and Ponte Verdra raced to a close third in 1:26.68.<\/p>\n<p>For the second-straight year, Kravchenko was victorious in the 100 back, taking the title in 50.14. Pilkowski raced to the runner-up spot in 50.97 as Shaffer swam his way to third in 51.76.<\/p>\n<p>200 IM runner-up Sehlhorst earned the individual gold in the 100 breast, stopping the clock in 57.56. Rua took a close second in 57.81 and Mater Lakes&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Brandon Moran\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 58.50.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln Park&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Geraghty\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board, posting a final score of 524.20 for the win. Gulliver Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Skyklar Mignon\u00a0<\/strong>dove to second with a score of 494.20 and third went to Ed White&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elisa Dees\u00a0<\/strong>with 398.95 points.<\/p>\n<p>The meet concluded as Land O&#8217;Lakes&#8217; Pilkowski, Idippili, Kaatze and Ramsey combined to win the 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:11.39, only three-tenths faster than runner-up Jesuit (3:11.69).
