Andrew swam a 22.32 to break the record formerly held by\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>(22.38) from the 2016 World Championships in Windsor.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew moved up to 14th all-time in the event as he now sits in front of Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rafael Mu\u00f1oz\u00a0<\/strong>and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evgeny Korotyshkin\u00a0<\/strong>(22.33).<\/p>\n<p>Andrew finished second in the final behind Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>(22.17), who moved up to seventh all-time in the event in a tie with France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Fred Bousquet<\/strong>. Morozov was the overall World Cup winner for 2018. Singapore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joseph Schooling\u00a0<\/strong>(22.40) finished third in front of his home fans in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew now holds three of the four 50&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/american-swimming-records-short-course-meters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Records in short course meters<\/a>.
