Sjostrom has already indicated\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sarah-sjostrom-to-skip-short-course-world-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she is out<\/a>\u00a0of the World Short Course Championships in December, and with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/energy-for-swim-cancelled-according-to-statement-from-adam-peaty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cancellation of the Energy for Swim<\/a> meet, will most likely not have another meet until 2019. That swim moved him up to seventh all-time in the 50 fly in a tie with France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Fred Bousquet\u00a0<\/strong>from 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>broke the American Record in the 50 fly with his silver medal winning performance with a 22.32, moving him to 14th all-time in the event, just ahead of Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rafael Munoz\u00a0<\/strong>and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evgeny Korotyshkin\u00a0<\/strong>(22.33). Seebohm showed some consistency with a 2:01.60 in the 200 back final after a long World Cup series spanning two months.
