The Bolles&#8217; boys also won with 373 points ahead of Episcopal (221) and Saint Andrew&#8217;s (216).<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-florida-1a-state-championship-final-results\/high-school\/2018\/November\/16?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fhigh-school%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for full results.<\/p>\n<h1>Girls Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Bolles &#8211; 381<br \/>\n2. Pine Crest &#8211; 303<br \/>\n3. Saint Andrew&#8217;s &#8211; 244<br \/>\n4. Trinity Christian &#8211; 208<br \/>\n5. Lake Highland Prep &#8211; 109<\/p>\n<p>The meet began as Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Faith Khoo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Carly Schwab<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sasha Ramey\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Emily MacDonald\u00a0<\/strong>won the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:43.50. Saint Andrew&#8217;s (1:44.97) and Pine Crest (1:45.29) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Cutler Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mary Smutny\u00a0<\/strong>shaved three seconds from her prelims swim to grab the gold in the 200 free with a time of 1:46.08.\u00a0Trinity Christian&#8217;s\u00a0 <strong>Nicole Gomez\u00a0<\/strong>was also under the 1:50 mark with a second-place showing in 1:48.86 while Lake Highland Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alix Roy\u00a0<\/strong>wound up third in 1:50.82.<\/p>\n<p>Oxbridge&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jennifer Secrest\u00a0<\/strong>powered home to a win in the 200 IM, stopping the clock in 2:00.62.\u00a0Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrea Santander\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 2:01.34 and Ramey was third in 2:01.60. Secrest then went on to win the 100 fly for her second gold in 54.10, ahead of runner-up St. John Neumann&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madeline Burt<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(54.62) and Episcopal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mary Kelley\u00a0<\/strong>(55.69).<\/p>\n<p>Trinity Christian&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chade Nersicio\u00a0<\/strong>splashed and dashed her way to the 50 free State title as the only swimmer under 23 seconds, doing so in a swift 22.66.\u00a0Academy at the Lakes&#8217;\u00a0<strong>McKenna Smith\u00a0<\/strong>touched the wall second in 23.29 and\u00a0Burt grabbed third in 23.37.<\/p>\n<p>After taking second in 50 free, Santander found herself on top of the podium in the 100 free with a time 49.69. One-tenth behind her was Smutny in 49.79 and Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Adair Sand\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 49.90 to also crack the 50-second barrier.\u00a0Saint Andrew&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shayna Fetes\u00a0<\/strong>got her hands to the wall first in the 100 breast, touching in 1:03.07 to defend her title. Trinity Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jenessa Schwarz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.62) was second and Schwab (1:04.49) was third.<\/p>\n<p>Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Leah DeGeorge\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 500 free, shaving over four seconds from her prelims time to win in 4:49.78.\u00a0Gomez finished second in 4:52.88 and PK Yonge\u00a0<strong>Lain Shahboz\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 4:53.38. Shahboz later won the 100 back in 54.95 ahead of Bradenton Christian&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Freed<\/strong>\u00a0(55.42)\u00a0and Kelley (55.45).<\/p>\n<p>University&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maia Goldstein\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board, finishing with a final score of 504.90. Second went to Berkeley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Stambo\u00a0<\/strong>with a final score of 476.00 and third went to Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ishani Singh\u00a0<\/strong>with 444.20 points.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity Christian&#8217;s Gomez,\u00a0<strong>Naima Dressout<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hailey Rudd\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Nersicio won a close 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:34.25.\u00a0Bolles was right behind in 1:34.39 for second followed by Pine Crest in third with a time of 1:34.83. Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Megan McGrath<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Camila Batista<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashley Khoo\u00a0<\/strong>and DeGeorge won the 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:25.14, followed by Pine Crest (3:26.75) and Trinity Christian (3:27.44).<\/p>\n<h1>Boys Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Bolles &#8211; 373<br \/>\n2. Episcopal &#8211; 221<br \/>\n3. Saint Andrew&#8217;s &#8211; 216<br \/>\n4. Berkeley Prep &#8211; 214<br \/>\n5. Pine Crest &#8211; 201<\/p>\n<p>Just like the girls, the Bolles&#8217; quartet of\u00a0<strong>Jackson Kirk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Paul DeGrado<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Daniel Bowen\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Rafael Ponce DeLeon\u00a0<\/strong>won the 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:33.43. Saint Andrew&#8217;s took second in a close 1:33.81 while Berkeley Prep was third in 1:34.71.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke\u00a0Uttley\u00a0<\/strong>posted a two-second victory in the 200 free, winning in 1:37.86.\u00a0STAD\u00a0<strong>Thomas Piza\u00a0<\/strong>also snuck under the 1:40 mark in 1:39.70 for second while PK Yonge&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Trevor McGovern\u00a0<\/strong>finished in 1:40.01 for third. Uttley then went on to defend his 100 free title in 44.87 ahead of\u00a0Berkeley Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Dieffenthaller\u00a0<\/strong>(45.02) and Trinity Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jan Collazo Torres\u00a0<\/strong>(45.03).<\/p>\n<p>Soon after helping his relay to gold, DeGrado was back to claim victory in the 200 IM as the only swimmer under 1:50 with a winning time of 1:49.59. Second went to King&#8217;s Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joshua Zuchowski\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.21) and third went to\u00a0<strong>Jace Crawford\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.56). Zuchowski later won the 100 back in 49.20 ahead of PK Yonge\u00a0<strong>Trevor McGovern\u00a0<\/strong>(49.56) and Saint Andrew&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joshua Balbi\u00a0<\/strong>(50.05).<\/p>\n<p>Episcopal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sterling Crane\u00a0<\/strong>won a close 50 free battle, getting his hand to the wall first in a quick 20.32.\u00a0Collazo Torres wasn&#8217;t far behind in 20.38 for second and\u00a0Dieffenthaller swam to third in 20.64.\u00a0Quickly after a 50 free victory, Crane was back in the pool and flew to first in the 100 fly with a time of 47.76. Also under the 50-second barrier were St. Johns Country Day&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Rogers\u00a0<\/strong>(49.18) and Balbi (49.65).<\/p>\n<p>Shorecrest Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caleb Kravitz\u00a0<\/strong>won the 500 free in 4:29.27, not too far ahead of runner-up\u00a0<strong>Brendan Peacock\u00a0<\/strong>of Evangelical Christian&#8217;s in 4:29.41.\u00a0Crawford finished third in 4:30.00.\u00a0DeGrado got his hands to the wall first in the 100 breast, stopping the clock in 54.76 for the win. Second went to Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Cobi Lopez Miro\u00a0<\/strong>(55.85) and third went to Berkeley Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryaan Hatoum\u00a0<\/strong>(57.16).<\/p>\n<p>Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Mendez\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board, finishing with a final score of 533.75. Second went to Tampa Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Carlin\u00a0<\/strong>with a final score of 523.80 and third went to Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Denny Gulia-Janovski\u00a0<\/strong>with 498.40 points.<\/p>\n<p>Berkeley Prep&#8217;s\u00a0Dieffenthaller,\u00a0<strong>Peter Tanner, Jr.<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Logan Ingerick\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jack Harrison\u00a0<\/strong>combined to win the 4&#215;50 free relay by a full second ahead of St. Andrew&#8217;s (1:24.64) and Bolles (1:25.02).
