Michael Andrew took two top seeds for the second day in a row in the 50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke. Katinka Hosszu could also double up on wins in the 400 IM and 100 Backstroke.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/Competition?id=000112010bffffffffffffffffffffff&amp;day=2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Results<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Sydney Chun <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won the early heats of the women\u2019s 400 IM in 4:58.35. She was joined by <\/span><b>Charmaine Lee <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(5:12.06) and<\/span><b> Sydney Londergan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (5:12.36) in the top three. Their times will face the strength of <\/span><b>Katinka Hosszu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Vitalina Simonova<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Boglarka Kapas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and more in tonight\u2019s final.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 1500 Freestyle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taipei earned the top three finishes in the men\u2019s 1500 Freestyle heats with the efforts from <\/span><b>Tzu-Cheng Liao<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (15:20.82), <\/span><b>WeiYong-Jie Chung<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (15:35.34) and <\/span><b>ChengLi-Wei Chang <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(15:53.05). Their teammates <\/span><b>Cheng-Chi Cho<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Guo-Ting Huang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will race in the final among <\/span><b>Mack Horton<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><b> Jared Gilliland<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Australia and more. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 50 Backstroke<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Michael Andrew <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the USA posted a season-best time for the top seed in the 50 Backstroke. His time of 23.13 edged out China\u2019s<\/span><b> Xu Jiayu <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(23.38) who holds the quickest time in the field from the Beijing stop of this World Cup cluster. American <\/span><b>Christopher Staka<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was third in 23.58.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Australia placed a quartet of swimmers in the finals in<\/span><b> Mitchell Larkin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (23.92), <\/span><b>Tristan Hollard <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(24.21), <\/span><b>Bradley Woodward <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(24.41) and <\/span><b>Edward Marks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (24.48). <\/span><b>Mikita Tsmyh <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tied Woodward for a spot in the final as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 200 Freestyle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freestyle stars <\/span><b>Pernille Blume<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Sarah Sjostrom<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> did not race in the 200 distance this time around, while <\/span><b>Femke Heemskerk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took the top seed in 1:55.98. Australian placed a pair of swimmers in the top eight with <\/span><b>Madison Wilson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> taking the two seed in 1:57.18 and <\/span><b>Gemma Cooney <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grabbing the eighth spot in 1:58.26. Between them were <\/span><b>Liu Yaxin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:57.30), <\/span><b>Siobhan O\u2019Connor <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:57.49),<\/span><b> Ye Shiwen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:57.53), <\/span><b>Zhu Menghui<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:57.58) and <\/span><b>Elisabet Gamez Matos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:58.02).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Japan\u2019s <\/span><b>Hiromasa Fujimori<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the top qualifier in the men\u2019s 200 IM with a time of 1:56.23. He was followed by <\/span><b>Kenneth To<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1:56.27 and <\/span><b>Matthew Wilson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1:56.36. Larkin was not far behind in 1:56.53 nor was <\/span><b>Hsing-Hao Wang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1:56.58. <\/span><b>Travis Mahoney<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:56.82), <\/span><b>Wang Shun<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:57.05) and <\/span><b>Keita Sunama<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:57.09).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hosszu led a strong 100 Backstroke field in 56.92. Australia had three swimmers make the final including <\/span><b>Minna Atherton<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (57.49), <\/span><b>Emily Seebohm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (58.03) and Wilson (59.50). <\/span><b>Kira Toussaint<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (58.61), <\/span><b>Toto Kwan To Wong<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (59.40),<\/span><b> Carmen Weiler Sastre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:01.17) and <\/span><b>Johanna Roas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:01.37) will also race in the final. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 50 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Andrew claimed yet another top seed, this time in the 50 Breaststroke. He posted a quick 26.19 for the win ahead of <\/span><b>Peter Stevens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Ilya Shymanovich<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 26.33. <\/span><b>Yan Zibei<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (26.40), <\/span><b>Kirill Prigoda<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (26.41), <\/span><b>James Boyd McKechnie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (26.65), <\/span><b>Anton Chupkov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (26.79) and Wilson (26.85) placed fourth through eighth. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 50 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sjostrom hit the pool for the first time on day two for the top seed in the 50 Butterfly in 25.02. Her time beat out a talented field including <\/span><b>Ranomi Kromowidjojo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (25.62), Blume (26.15) and Toussaint (26.25). They will be joined in the final by <\/span><b>Tayla Lovemore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (25.65), <\/span><b>Lin Xintong <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(26.11), <\/span><b>Ellysia Oldsen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (26.43) and <\/span><b>Yu-Rong Chen <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(26.68). <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Freestyle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Vlad Morozov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> did not waste any time in the 100 Freestyle, grabbing the top seed in 47.03. The USA\u2019s<\/span><b> Blake Pieroni<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was second in 47.58 and was followed closely by <\/span><b>Kyle Chalmers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (47.67) and To (47.97). <\/span><b>Louis Townsend<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (48.08), <\/span><b>Jonathan Eu Jin Tan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (48.38), <\/span><b>Artsiom Machekin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (48.39) and <\/span><b>Daniel Hunter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (48.43) will round out the final. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Yulia Efimova<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took command of the women\u2019s 100 Breaststroke in 1:05.75. O\u2019Connor (1:06.13) and Simonova (1:06.36) were next, followed by Atkinson who finished fourth after a quick start of 30.97. <\/span><b>B.M.L. Roman <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:07.55), <\/span><b>Franziska Weidner <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:08.31), <\/span><b>Christie May Chue<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1:08.70) and <\/span><b>Cheuk Tung Natalie Kan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:08.81).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taipei\u2019s <\/span><b>Kuan-Hung Wang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took the last top seed of the day in 1:54.23. China\u2019s <\/span><b>Li Zhuhao<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was also in the running at 1:54.26. <\/span><b>Masayuki Umemoto <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">led the remaining swimmers in 1:55.12.
