WESTWOOD, Calif., Feb. 1. AIN'T no way to treat the Champ!<\/p>\n

Stanford's No. 1-ranked women's swimming and diving team blasted defending Pac-10 Champ UCLA here this afternoon, 142-101, in a dual meet at the Bruins' Recreation Center Pool.<\/p>\n

On a warm but brisk afternoon on the Westwood campus, Stanford won 10 of 13 races en route to victory, including doubles by Jessica Foschi (200-500 frees, 1:49.12-5:01.32); and Lacey Boutwell (100 free-200 IM,
\n50.33-2:03.84).<\/p>\n

The Bruins got wins from soph sprinter Sara Platzer (50 free, 23.47) and Naoko Watanabe in the 200 back (2:03.55). The Bruins 200 free relay team also closed out the meet with a win (1:33.03 to Stanford's 1:36.09).<\/p>\n

Stanford's Cameron Evins won the 1000 free (10:13.28) and was runner-up in the 500. Other Card wins included Shelly Ripple (200 fly), McKenzie Murphy
\n(i-meter diving), Kim Power (3-meter diving) and Tara Kirk (200 breast).<\/p>\n

The undefeated Cardinal travel across town to USC tomorrow to battle Coach Mark Schubert's Lady Trojans, 165-135 losers to Cal this afternoon.<\/p>\n
