NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Idaho has earned an in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2019 from\u00a0Haylee Buyers<\/strong>, who\u00a0will join\u00a0Cassidy Jones<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Alexa Teneyck<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

A native of Eagle, Idaho, Buyers does her club swimming with Boise YMCA Swim Team and recorded a best time at Santa Clara Futures this summer after racing six events at Mount Hood Sectionals. She took second in the 100 fly at the Empire Senior Winter Championships last winter and swam a lifetime best in the 200 IM at YMCA Nationals in April.<\/p>\n

A current senior at Eagle High School, Buyers recently competed at the Idaho 5A State Championships<\/a> where she won the 100 fly in a new 5A record, was the 100 back runner-up, and won the 4×50 free relay along with her sister,\u00a0Amelia Buyers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n
