NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Versatile\u00a0Matthew Knox\u00a0<\/strong>of Springfield, Ill.\u00a0has given his verbal commitment to Duke University and will join the Blue Devils in the fall of 2019.<\/p>\n

Knox does his club swimming with the Springfield YMCA Swim Team and has met the Winter Juniors qualifying standard in the 200m free. He achieved 100% lifetime bests and had six second-swims at Rochester Futures this summer which included a bronze medal in the 200m free. He placed fifth in the 100 free and 13th in the 200 free at YMCA Nationals in April and notched three personal bests at Illinois YMCA States in March. He also represented Springfield High School at the Illinois State Championships during his freshman and sophomore seasons.<\/p>\n
