At Indiana SCY Seniors in March, she placed eighth in the 200 IM. Atkins competed for Lawrence North High School at the 2017 Indiana State Championships during her junior season where she placed 13th in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #0303a1;\"><strong>&#8220;Super excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Xavier University!! Huge thank you to everyone who has been by my side through this journey.
