NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Hilton Head Island, South Carolina’s\u00a0Kevin Geist\u00a0<\/strong>will make the move to Villanova next fall after giving his verbal commitment to the Wildcats. Geist is the\u00a0nephew of USA Swimming 1996 Olympian Peter Wright<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Geist swims year-round with Hilton Head Aquatics and achieved 100% best times this summer at the SC LCM Championships where he earned the silver in the 100m fly and bronze in the 200m fly. He raced the former at Juniors East last winter and placed second in the event at SC SCY Champs in February. He notched a pair of lifetime bests at NCSA Junior Nationals in March as well.<\/p>\n

Also swimming for Hilton Head High School, Geist is an eight-time South Carolina State Championship finalist and has won five of those eight events. He was named champion in the 200 free and 100 fly as both a senior and a junior and earned the gold in the latter during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
