AT the Southeastern Swimming Championships, Nashville Aquatic Club (NAC) bested the competition with a combined team score of 2685.50.  Excel Aquatic (XCEL) was second with a score of 1972 and City of Mobile Swim Association (CMSA) rounded out the top three with a score of 1414.50.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 &#038; under field, operating under a timed finals format, delivered impressive performances, led by high point winners Kallie Chelsvig, NAC, and Mason Mathias, Birmingham Swim League (BSL). Chelsvig dominated the girl&#039;s side with solid swims in the 200 free (2:07.51), 500 free (5:45.78), 50 fly (29.60), 100 fly (1:03.32) and 200 IM (2:24.36).  On the boys side Mathias took it to the competition in the 100 free (1:00.43), 200 free (2:09.43), 50 fly (29.77) and 200 IM (2:26.13).<\/p>\n<p>Riley Gaines, EXCL, led the 11\/12 girls side of competition with strong performances in the 200 free (1:54.83), 50 back (28.36), 100 back (1:01.06), 50 fly (26.05).  Her 100 fly, (57.09) simply blew away the field.  Rachel Kriger, Memphis Tiger Swimming (MTS), had a strong showing in the 500 free (5:17.95), 100 IM (1:01.88) and 200 IM (2:11.20).  Ryan Gorman, Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club (MTAC), sat atop the boys 11\/12 field of competition with commanding performances in the 100 back (1:01.46), 50 breast (31.50), 100 breast (1:08.38), 100 IM (1:01.89) and 200 IM (2:10.73).  Brendan Kazay, XCEL, 100 free (53.59), 200 free (1:54.03) and Jakob Icimsoy, Hoover Blue Thunder (HBT), 500 free (5:13.05), 1000 free (10:25.35) battled it out in the freestyle events.<\/p>\n<p>Paige Madden, City of Mobile Swim Association (CMSA), took control of the 13\/14 girls side of competition on the first day and never let go.   She had remarkable swims in the 100 free (51.26), 200 free (1:50.51), 500 free (5:00.27), 1000 free (10:20.08), 100 fly (56.20), and 200 fly (2:02.63).   Sarah Chambliss, Auburn Aquatics (AUB), hung with Madden in the 100 free (51.26) but came up just short.  Chambliss took it to the field with an amazing swim in the 100 back (56.59). Daniel Chang, Barracuda Swim Club (BSC), dominated the 13\/14 men&#039;s events.  Changs&#039;s 200 breast time (2:04.29) set a new Southeastern Swimming record.  Chang also had notable performances in the 50 free (22.14), 100 breast (57.36), 200 IM (1:54.26) and 400 IM (4:08.67).  Christopher Robinson, NAC, had solid swims in the 500 free (4:41.52), 1000 free (9:41.48) and 200 back (1:55.92).<\/p>\n<p>In the senior women events, Elizabeth Stinson, NAC, dominated in the distance free events with wins in the 500 free (4:51.58), 1000 free (10:05.93) and 1650 (16:41.72).  Annie McKenize, Crimson Tide Aquatics (CTA), held onto the 100 free (50.91) and 200 free (1:49.69) top finishes.  Kristen Vredeveld of Baylor Swim Club held onto the 50 free (22.92) title.  Annie Kyriakidis, NAC, took control of the 100 breast (1:02.69), 200 breast (2:17.41), 200 fly (2:00.97) and 400 IM (4:20.43).  Genny Pittman, BSL, 100 back (54.61), Michelle Chintanaphol, NAC, 200 back (1:59.61), Carrie Johnson, NAC, (55.14) and Sophie Pilkinton, NAC, 200 IM (2:04.06) rounded out the top finishers.<\/p>\n<p>The event of the meet was the senior men 50 free A final with three swimmers recording identical times.  Chatham Dobbs, NAC, (20.75) barely out touched Isaac Taylor, TENN, Benjamin Young, UN, Jonathon Young, Orange Beach Swim Team (OBST), and their matching times of 20.85.  Michael Duderstadt, Panama City Swim Team (PCST), hit the wall with a 20.90.<\/p>\n<p>Will Freeman, BSL, had solid swims in the 1000 free, (9:26.52) and 1650 free (15:55.81).  Michael Duderstadt, PCST, won the 100 free (45.34).  Grant Stafford, XCEL, took control of the 200 free (1:38.92).  Taylor Charles, NAC, bested the competition in the 200 fly (1:48.58) and 400 IM (3:54.59).  Sam McHugh, Baylor Swim Club, had impressive swims in the 500 free (4:28.72) and 200 IM (1:50.00).
