NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Hong Kong’s\u00a0Katii Tang\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Michigan and will arrive in Ann Arbor next fall as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Tang swims year-round with Victoria Shanghai Academy and most recently represented Hong Kong at the 18th Asian Games where she swam a trio of lifetime bests. She raced three events at the Festival of Sport in April and was a six-time finalist at the Asian Age Group Championships. Tang also\u00a0finished third in the 800 SCM free and fourth in the 400 SCM free at the FINA Hong Kong World Cup last fall.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim at the University of Michigan! This is definitely a childhood dream come true for me. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me along the way, my parents, family, coaches, friends, and teammates. I cannot wait to become part of the team and become a Wolverine. GO BLUE”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
