NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Boulder, Colorado’s\u00a0Mya Drost-Parra\u00a0<\/b>has given her verbal pledge to Tulane University and will join the Green Wave as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Drost-Parra does her club swimming with Flatiron Athletic Club and has met the Winter Juniors standard in the 200 fly.\u00a0She achieved four best times at Colorado LCM Seniors this summer after registering five finals appearances at Mount Hood Sectionals. She competed in four events at Juniors West last winter and had five top-30 finishes at Four Corners Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n

Also swimming for Fairview High School,\u00a0Drost-Parra is a four-time Colorado 5A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She finished ninth in the 200 IM and 11th in the 100 back as a junior after placing ninth in the 200 IM and seventh in the 100 fly during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so excited to announce my commitment to Tulane University. I am thrilled to join a new family. One of the reasons I chose Tulane was the unique people and amazing academics. As I walked around the campus, looking at the magnificent trees, I knew that this melting pot of culture would be the home for me. I know these next four years I will be happy to say \u201cThat\u2019s right, I go to Tulane, one of the best schools in the country!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
