NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Lafayette, Calif. native\u00a0Emily Gebhardt\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her in-state verbal for the fall of 2019 to San Diego State University.<\/p>\n

Gebhardt does her club swimming with Orinda Aquatics and capped off her summer long course season with four personal bests at the Western Zone Senior Championships. She raced four events at Juniors West last winter and was a two-time finalist at Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals in March. Gebhardt competed for\u00a0Acalanes High School at the CIF State Championships as a junior after placing fifth in the 100 fly and tenth in the 100 free at CIF-North Coast Sections a week prior.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at San Diego State University\u00a0in the fall. I would like to thank my coaches, family, and teammates\u00a0for helping me achieve my goals, and supporting me throughout the process. I am beyond\u00a0grateful for this opportunity\u00a0and can’t wait for the next 4 years! Go Aztecs!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
