NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Brookhaven, Ga. native and high school junior\u00a0Tristen Ulett\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal intention to swim for Louisville as a member of the class of 2024. Ulett was named\u00a0Swimming World<\/em>‘s Up & Comer<\/a> for April 2016.<\/p>\n

Ulett swims year-round with Dynamo Swim Club and has the Junior Nationals – or better – standard in nine different events. She notched two personal bests at Nationals this past summer and was the 100 fly runner-up at Juniors East last winter. When she was 14 years old, Ulett broke the 13-14 NAG record in the 100 fly with a time of 52.97<\/a>. Although that record has since been broken by\u00a0Regan Smith<\/strong>, Ulett became the first 13-14 girl to crack the 53-second mark and is still ranked No. 2 in both fly events for that age group.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Louisville!! I wouldn\u2019t have made it here without God, the tremendous support of my wonderful family, coaches, and teammates. I can\u2019t wait to train with an amazing group of swimmers and under such a wonderful coaching staff! I couldn\u2019t be any happier!! GO CARDS!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
