NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Denver, Colorado’s\u00a0Ryan Peterson<\/strong>\u00a0has recently announced his verbal commitment to the University of Southern California and will join the Trojans next fall.<\/p>\n

Peterson does his club swimming with University of Denver Hilltoppers and is a six-time Junior National qualifier. He achieved a pair of lifetime bests at Juniors this summer after winning two events at Colorado Seniors in July. He placed 21st in the 200 free at Juniors West last winter and was the runner-up in the event at Colorado Seniors in March.<\/p>\n

Also swimming for Wheat Ridge High School, Peterson is a six-time Colorado 4A State Championship finalist.\u00a0The NISCA All-American won the 200 free and placed third in the 100 free as a junior after winning the 200 IM during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am absolutely thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to swim at the University of Southern California next Fall. I have been a Trojan fan for life and am honored to have the opportunity to be a student-athlete at USC. I want to acknowledge and thank my family, teammates, friends and coaches for their support over the years. They have prepared me to compete in the pool and in the classroom at USC. Fight On!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
