NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Mechanicsville, Va. native\u00a0Brendan Farrar\u00a0<\/strong>has given Towson University a verbal commitment and will join the Tigers as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Farrar swims year-round with Poseidon Swimming and most recently competed at NCSAs where he recorded a pair of best times in both backstroke events. He was a five-time finalist at VA LCM Seniors with his highest finish being an eighth-place showing in the mile. He also recorded a trio of lifetime bests at NCSAs in March.<\/p>\n

Farrar is a six-time Virginia 5A State Championship finalist competing for Lee Davis High School.\u00a0He finished third in the 200 free and fifth in the 500 free as a junior after placing sixth and fifth in both events during his sophomore and freshman campaigns, respectively.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I chose Towson because the team is focused, driven, and goal oriented, all lead by a passionate coaching staff. I\u2019m grateful that I have the oppurtunity to ontinue swimming and nd further my passion for education. I can\u2019t wait to be apart of the TU Class of 2023! #gotigers”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
