NANCY, France, February 16. REIGNING Olympic gold medalist Florent Manaudou is definitely enjoying the greater stature that his win in the 50 free in London has provided. This weekend at the two-day long course French International Meeting in Nancy, he not only won three titles, but also served as the poster personality for the meet.<\/p>\n
Manaudou started off with a 50 fly victory in 23.70. Spain's Rafael Munoz Perez touched second in 23.93. Manaudou then earned his second title of the meet with a 24.95 to 24.99 touchout triumph over Camille Lacourt in the 50 back. Manaudou then enjoyed victory in his gold-medal event with a sizzling 21.62 to earn the splash-and-dash crown. Brazil's Bruno Fratus joined him under 22 seconds with a second-place 21.92. <\/p>\n
Adeline Martin took home the women's 100 breast crown in 1:10.66, then doubled on day one with a 2:18.32 to crush the field in the women's 200 IM. Martin opened up day two right as she demolished the field in the women's 400 IM for her third victory of the meet. She downed Fantine Lesaffre, 4:47.90 to 4:56.14. <\/p>\n
Giacomo Perez Dortona claimed the men's 50 breast in 28.03, then took second to William Debourges in the men's 200 breast, 2:14.22 to 2:14.91. On day two, Perez Dortona earned his second crown with a 1:01.02 in the men's 100 breast. <\/p>\n
Brazil's Henrique Martins blasted the field in the men's 100 free with a 50.25, while Russia's Sergey Fesikov wound up second in 50.47. Gregory Mallet and William Meynard tied as the top Frenchmen with matching 50.48s for third. Mallet went on to win the men's 200 free in 1:49.63. Martins returned on day two with a 53.08 to beat the field in the men's 100 fly. <\/p>\n
Coralie Balmy smashed the championship field in the women's 200 free by five seconds with a swift 1:58.19. She then topped the women's 400 free in 4:07.93 with Aurelie Muller taking a distant second in 4:21.79. On day one, Muller topped the women's 800 free in 8:51.13. <\/p>\n
Jeremy Stravius won a head-to-head matchup with Lacourt, 54.03 to 54.43, in the men's 100 back. Stravius then doubled up on day one with a1:58.94 to win the men's 200 fly. Joris Hustache posted a 2:03.05 to win the men's 200 back title after Stravius scratched finals with a 1:59.79 top-seed time from prelims. <\/p>\n
Quentin Coton snared the men's 400 IM title in 4:28.84. He later swept the IM events during the two-day meet with a 2:05.39 in the 200 IM. <\/p>\n
Fanny Babou raced to victory in the women's 50 breast with a 32.92. Babou doubled up with a 2:33.23 to win the women's 200 breast.<\/p>\n
Lucas Vigorito took home the men's 400 free title in 3:56.47. Alex Reymond won the men's 1500 free in 15:29.29. <\/p>\n
Cloe Hache earned the women's 50 free title in 25.87. Assia Touati then clipped Hache in the women's 100 free, 56.50 to 56.60. Justine Bruno won the women's 100 fly in 1:01.55. Cassandra Petit touched out Ava Pretre, 28.06 to 28.08, in the women's 50 fly. Clotilde Dequarie earned the women's 200 fly crown in 2:15.74. <\/p>\n
Mathilde Cini topped the women's 50 back in a time of 29.41, touching out Cloe Credeville's 29.43. Credeville bounced back in the women's 200 back with a 2:15.37 to win by more than three seconds.
