NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>High school junior\u00a0Kaitlyn Dobler\u00a0<\/strong>of Aloha, Oregon has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Southern California. She will join the Trojans in the fall of 2020.<\/p>\n

Dobler swims year-round with The Dolphins Portland Swimming and owns three U.S. Open standards with seven additional Juniors\/Nationals cuts. In addition to a pair of top-5 finishes at Juniors this summer, she won the 100m breast<\/a> (1:08.90) to rank her 10th all-time in the U.S. for the 15-16 age group.\u00a0She was victorious in all six of her events at Mount Hood Sectionals in July and was a five-time finalist at Federal Way Sectionals in March. She also finished fifth in the 100 breast and 11th in the 50 free at Juniors West last winter.<\/p>\n

Dobler is a three-time Oregon 6A State champion for Aloha High School and owns state records in the 50 free and 100 breast. The NISCA All-American won the 50 free and 100 breast at State during her sophomore season; the latter (59.17) which ranks her No. 5 in the 15-16 age group<\/a>. She also won the 100 breast title during her rookie campaign.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited to pursue my engineering degree and academic goals at a world class institution. I’m really looking forward to spending four years at USC.
