Florida State freshman swimmer Ida Hulkko<\/strong> and junior diver Molly Carlson<\/strong> were named the female ACC Swimmer and Diver of the Week on Monday by the league office.<\/p>\n

Both performances were vital in the upset over No. 13 Minnesota on Saturday, which marked the first win over a ranked team for the women since the fall of 2012 and first under third-year head coach Neal<\/strong> Studd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hulkko earns her first ACC honor after her second meet in the Garnet and Gold after winning 100 breast in dominating fashion.<\/p>\n

The Mikkeli, Finland, native posted a time of 1:01.19 in the season opener against Pitt and Duke and on Saturday she dropped more time, clocking 1:00.77 at Minnesota, which marks the fifth fastest time in the country this season.<\/p>\n

Hulkko\u2019s 1:00.77 places her in elite company, ranking her fifth on the FSU all-time top 10 list.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Hulkko helped the 200 medley relay open the meet with a win behind a split of 26.91 in the 50 breast, which was over one second fastest than the next fastest time in the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited for Ida,\u201d Studd said. \u201cShe has been doing great, especially for a freshman. It\u2019s going to be exciting to see what she can achieve this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carlson continues to dominate the boards this season, picking up her second ACC Diver of the Week honor in as many meets.<\/p>\n

For the second meet in a row, Carlson was the lone diver that scored above 300 points on 3-meter, earning a score of 327.45. Her performance landed her 30.15 points above her teammate and second place finisher freshman Grace Cable.<\/p>\n

Carlson also placed second on 1-meter with a total of 273.08. Her 13 points contributed off of diving events was the most by an individual on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMolly just continues to improve and compete well,\u201d FSU head diving coach John Proctor<\/strong> said. \u201cShe\u2019s having a great year so far and she\u2019s really stepped into her role as a leader on this team. I\u2019m very proud of her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duke diver, Notre Dame swimmer honored<\/h3>\n

Duke senior Evan Moretti <\/strong>was named the ACC Men\u2019s Diver of the Week Monday by the conference office.<\/p>\n

Moretti earned the accolade for the third time in his career after sweeping the one and three-meter events Saturday against the fourth-ranked Wolfpack. He turned in a career-best award of 387.38 in the one-meter competition and also took first at the three-meter height with an award of 382.65. Both scores on the day surpassed NCAA Zone Diving qualification standards.<\/p>\n

Behind Moretti\u2019s performances, the Duke divers swept the top two spots in all four events in the home opener at Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame\u2019s Zach Yeadon<\/strong> has been selected as the ACC Men\u2019s Swimmer of the Week.<\/p>\n

Yeadon helped Notre Dame edge Georgia Tech, 132-130, over the weekend. The sophomore from San Antonio won all three of his races, touching first in the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free. Yeadon clocked an NCAA provisional time of 15:17:10 in the 1650 free.<\/p>\n
