A former Minnesota swim coach already charged with criminal sexual conduct now faces additional counts, multiple news outlets reported.<\/p>\n

Sixty-one-year-old Alfred John O’Neill<\/strong> was charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in September\u00a0after authorities said he had a sexual relationship with an underage girl during the ’80s.<\/p>\n

He is already banned for life from coaching by the U.S. Center for SafeSport.<\/p>\n

The Dakota County Attorney’s Office announced Friday O’Neill, a former Burnsville coach faces three more counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.<\/p>\n

These new allegations stem from alleged sexual contact in three incidents with a girl between the ages of 16 and 17 whom O’Neill coached from 1997 to 1999, according to the attorney’s office.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, in September,\u00a0investigators met with a suspected victim following a tip. During the interview, the victim confirmed to police that she had been abused multiple times by O’Neill, the complaint said.<\/p>\n

The victim told authorities that O’Neill had “engaged her in a sexualized relationship” at the age of 16, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

O’Neill is scheduled to appear in court on the new charges Dec. 3. His next appearance for the original charge is Wednesday, KSTP reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
