NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>High school junior and Waynesville, Ohio native\u00a0Owen Conley\u00a0<\/strong>has announced his in-state verbal commitment to the Buckeyes as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Conley swims year-round for Dayton Raiders and has six Junior National (or better) standards. He most recently competed at Juniors this summer which included an 18th-place showing in the 400m IM after achieving a pair of best times at Nationals. He finished seventh in the 400 IM and tenth in the 200 back at Juniors East last winter where he achieved 100% best times.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Waynesville High School, Conley is a four-time Ohio State Championship finalist. He won both the 200 IM and 500 free as a junior after finishing second and third, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career swimming at The Ohio State University! Thank you to my family, coaches, and friends who have supported me along this journey. Go Bucks!!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
