NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Southern Methodist University has earned a new verbal commitment for next fall from Ajax, Ontario’s\u00a0Janelle Gursoy.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gursoy swims year-round with Scarborough Swim Club\u00a0and most recently competed at the Canadian Junior Championships where she finished fifth in the 50m free and 15th in the 100m free. She was a four-time finalist at the Eastern Canadian Championships last spring and earned the bronze in the 100m back at Ontario Spring Provincial. At 2017 Canadian Juniors, she had four second swims which included a third-place showing in the 50m free.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am absolutely thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Southern Methodist University! I love everything about SMU, and it is the perfect fit for me as a student and an athlete.
