Maglione<\/strong>. \u201cIt provides a unique opportunity to meet the people responsible for guiding our stars to FINA World Championship and Olympic glory as they reveal the various ways to success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 4th FINA Swimming Coaches Golden Clinic takes place\u00a0December 8-10, 2018 at the Intercontinental in Hangzhou (CHN) and is a key highlight of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldaquaticsconvention.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/worldaquaticsconvention.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1540042322190000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHbJy_GGOsNScIzDBGJWKPJHTntfw\">FINA World Aquatics Convention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Day One<\/h3>\n<p>Day 1 has <strong>Zhu Zhigen<\/strong> discussing \u2018The Path to Become a Champion\u2019. He is in a unique position to do so, having coached to Sun Yang \u2013 the first Chinese man to win Olympic swimming gold, and the first male swimmer in history to earn Olympic and World Championship gold medals at every freestyle distance from 200\u20131500 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Next up is <strong>Nigel Redman<\/strong>, former Rugby international and current Head of Performance Team Development for British Swimming, who is ideally qualified to speak on \u2018Competing as Part of a Training Programme\u2019. His role is to support the development of British Swimming coaches and the wider performance team on their journey to Tokyo 2020. He also co-designed and delivered Coach Development Programmes for the English Institute of Sport (EIS).<\/p>\n<h3>Day Two<\/h3>\n<p><strong>David Lush<\/strong>, Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association \u2018Coach of the Year\u2019, discusses \u2018Insights into Coaching a Developed Swimmer\u2019. He\u2019s the man who guided <strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> to World Championship, Olympic and Commonwealth gold medals. Over the past three years he has had a Gold Medallist at every significant international event.<\/p>\n<p>Who better to talk about \u2018Keys of Long-Distance Training\u2019 than French Swimming Federation OWS Program Director <strong>St\u00e9phane Lecat<\/strong>. Having been a top-level swimmer\u2013 10-time French champion and medal winner at European and World Championships \u2013 he has coached athletes at every level to medals and championship titles in the 5km, 7.5km, 10km and 25km.<\/p>\n<h3>Day Three<\/h3>\n<p><strong>John Atkinson<\/strong>, National High Performance Director\/National Coach for Swimming Canada speaks about \u2018Long\u2013Term Athlete Development\u2019. This has been a crucial part of his role since joining Swimming Canada in 2013 and overseeing athlete performances and achievements in Canadian, Pan Pacific, World and Olympic Championships. In Rio, the team had a 200% increase in medals won.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Xu Guoyi<\/strong>, who has made a huge contribution to the sustainable development of Chinese Swimming, speaks on \u2018Adapting Coaching Style to Different Environments\u2019. He has been coach to many famous and successful swimmers since 1994, including <strong>Ye Shiwen<\/strong> who became the youngest swimmer to win two Olympic gold medals in London 2012.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miguel Angel L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, FINA Training Center Head Coach, is perfectly placed to speak on \u2018Coaching Heterogenian Groups\u2019. Having worked with some of the world\u2019s best swim coaches and technicians all over the world, including Spain, the US and Asia, there is not much he doesn\u2019t know about his subject.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FINA Swimming Coaches Golden Clinic is an incredible and unique opportunity for coaches from all over the world to meet, discuss and improve.
