USA Swimming today announced a 52-member squad that will represent the United States at next summer\u2019s 2019 World University Games (XXX Summer Universiade) in Naples, Italy.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the roster are eight swimmers who competed for Team USA at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships: Gabby DeLoof<\/strong> (Grosse Pointe, Mich.\/Michigan), Ella Eastin<\/strong> (Irvine, Calif.\/Stanford), Hannah Moore<\/strong> (Cary, N.C.\/NC State), Zach Apple (Trenton, Ohio\/Indiana), Robert Finke<\/strong> (Clearwater, Fla.\/Florida), Sean Grieshop<\/strong> (Cedar Park, Texas\/California), Austin Katz<\/strong> (Sarasota, Fla.\/Texas) and Justin Ress<\/strong> (Cary, N.C.\/NC State).<\/p>\n

Apple, DeLoof and Jack Levant<\/strong> (Southlake, Texas\/Stanford) also will compete at the 2019 FINA World Championships as relay-only swimmers.\u00a0Leah Smith<\/strong>,\u00a0Shannon<\/strong> Vreeland<\/strong>, Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Reed Malone\u00a0<\/strong>did the double for USA Swimming in 2015 at the World University Games.<\/p>\n

Emily Weiss<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Katharine Berkoff<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>also made the team as they will be incoming freshmen in the fall of 2019.<\/p>\n

Seventeen different college programs are represented on the roster with Texas leading the way with eight swimmers slated to compete. California and NC State follow with six team members each.<\/p>\n

The seven-day swimming competition is scheduled for July 4-10, 2019. Full competition information can be found online at www.universiade2019napoli.it.<\/p>\n

Ten swimmers are making return trips to the World University Games and they are marked below with an asterisk.<\/p>\n
