NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Minnesota has gained another verbal commitment for fall of 2019 from\u00a0New Braunfels, Texas native\u00a0Isaac Barrera.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barrera swims year-round for Alamo Area Aquatic Association and is a four-time Junior National qualifier. He posted four top-8 finishes at Rochester Futures over the summer which included a second-place showing in the 200m IM. He recorded a pair of best times at Austin Sectionals,\u00a0raced at Juniors West last winter and notched six lifetime bests at NCSAs in March.<\/p>\n

Also competing for\u00a0New Braunfels High School, Barrera is a three-time Texas 6A State Championship finalist.\u00a0The NISCA All-American placed eighth in both the 200 free and 100 fly as a junior after placing 13th in the former during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
