NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Long Grove, Ill. native\u00a0Ashley Carollo\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal commitment to Tulane University and will join the Green Wave next fall.<\/p>\n

Carollo does her club swimming with Patriot Aquatics and achieved the Winter Nationals standard in the 100m back at Juniors this summer after placing third in the event at Illinois Seniors in July. She recorded a pair of best times at Juniors West last winter and was the 100 back runner-up at Pleasant Prairie Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Adlai E. Stevenson, Carollo has competed at the Illinois State Championships each of her three high school seasons so far.\u00a0She finished fourth in the 100 back as a junior after placing sixth in the event during her sophomore season. She has also earned NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n
