It is inspiring when high-level athletes open up about personal struggles they have had to overcome. World Champions Dagny Knutson and Gemma Spofforth have both struggled with serious personal issues while training for international swimming competitions. Knutson spoke of having an eating disorder for several years, including while she trained in Gainesville, Florida in 2011-12 alongside Spofforth. At the time, Knutson confided in Spofforth, who works as a Crisis Center Interventionalist in Gainseville. <\/p>\n
