With the women awaiting their meet on Sunday, the Greyhound men took down two of the powerhouses in Division II, besting Wingate, who placed seventh at nationals last March, as well as the four-time defending-national-champions Queens University. The meet was formatted in short-course meters, not the usual short-course yards, with the Hounds besting Wingate, 183-79, while toppling Queens, 148-114.<\/p>\n<p>The Hounds started off the day as hot as can be, winning the first five events of the meet. In the 400 medley relay, the squad of <strong>Rodrigo Codo Berti<\/strong>, <strong>Jan Zuchowicz<\/strong>, <strong>Ante Lucev<\/strong> and <strong>Guilherme Zavaneli<\/strong> won on a time of 3:44.03, out-touching Queens by .49 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore <strong>Cody Liske<\/strong> stepped up next for the Hounds and took over the 800 free, as his 8:21.84 turned into a four-second victory. The men&#8217;s 200 free proved to be an astounding race, as the senior duo of Zavaneli (1:52.06) and <strong>Vitor Botana<\/strong> (1:55.53) took first and second place in the event, respectively. Berti also picked up his second win immediately following, winning the 100 back on a time of 55.47 \u2013 two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 breast, Zuchowicz took the victory on his 1:03.45 time. Right behind him was one of the Greyhounds&#8217; many outstanding freshmen, <strong>Antonio Milin<\/strong>, who placed second on a 1:03.73. A half-second behind Milin stood the junior <strong>TJ LeSeure<\/strong> at third place, posting a solid time of 1:03.87. Rounding out the Greyhounds was senior <strong>Lucian Conner<\/strong>, where he gained an impressive fifth-place finish on a time of 1:04.01.<\/p>\n<p>The wins continued to pile up after the 100 free, as Zavaneli took a third victory on the day with a time of 50.16. The 200 back also proved to be a stellar race, as Berti tagged another victory on his 2:02.19 swim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jan Delskeskamp<\/strong> was a two-time race winner for Queens, taking gold in the 200 breast and 200 IM, while <strong>Marius Kusch<\/strong>\u00a0won both the 100 and 200 fly races.<\/p>\n<p>Junior <strong>Dmytro Sydorchenko<\/strong> was the team&#8217;s final individual winner, taking the top spot in the 50 free before teaming with <strong>Vince Regent<\/strong>, <strong>Alen Mosic<\/strong> and <strong>Mitchell Harwood<\/strong> for a win in the 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Adam Rosipal\u00a0<\/strong>won the 400 free with a 3:58.35 as the Greyhounds finished on top of both teams.<\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis was third at the Division II National Championships a year ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/athletics.uindy.edu\/documents\/2018\/10\/13\/results_with_scores.pdf\">Full Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Quotes<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&#8220;We raced with our hearts and gave it all.
