NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The Kentucky Wildcats have gained a new verbal pledge for the fall of 2019 from Rockville, Md. native and IMer\u00a0Timmy Ellett.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ellett is a five-time Junior National qualifier swimming for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. He capped off his summer season at NCSAs with five best times and a pair of top-20 finishes after finishing seventh in the 200m back at Potomac Valley Seniors. He also had a trio of second swims at NCSAs in the spring and won the 200 back at RMSC Holiday Invite.<\/p>\n

Ellett is a six-time Maryland State Championship finalist for\u00a0Walter Johnson High School. As a junior, he won the 200 IM to break his own state record he had set a year prior. He also finished third in the 500 free at State as a junior after winning both events at the 3A\/4A West Region meet. The NISCA All-American also owns the West Region record in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m looking forward to swimming and studying at the University of Kentucky in the Fall. I am so impressed with everything about the school and the team. There\u2019s such a positive energy at practices, the campus is beautiful, and I felt a great connection with the coaches and the team. I can\u2019t wait to be part of it!
