NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Glen Allen, Va. native\u00a0Chris Dalla Valle\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally declared his intention to swim for Duke University as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Primarily a distance freestyle and butterflyer, Dalla Valle swims year-round with Nova of Virginia Aquatics and has the Winter Juniors standard or better in five events. He raced three events at Juniors over the summer and posted five top-10 finishes at Virginia Senior LCM Championships. His highest finish at NCSAs in March was a fifth-place showing in the 1000 free and he notched a trio of lifetime bests at Juniors East last winter.<\/p>\n

Also represetning JR Tucker High School, Dalla Valle is a four-time Virginia 5A State Championship finalist.\u00a0The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American placed third in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free during his junior season after finishing 12th and 10th, respectively, in those events as a sophomore.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“Duke has an incredible combination of academics and athletics. The team atmosphere was amazing, and I can’t wait to represent the university as a Blue Devil. Go Blue Devils!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
