NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Backstroker and IMer\u00a0Catherine Christuk<\/strong> of Peabody, Mass. has announced her verbal commitment to Providence College for the fall of 2019.<\/p>\n

Christuk does her club swimming under\u00a0head coach\u00a0Janet Hardy\u00a0<\/strong>at YMCA of the North Shore. She recorded best times in all three backstroke distances at Jenks Speedo Sectionals this summer and faced five events at YMCA Nationals in April. She was also a four-time NE Senior Championship finalist last winter.<\/p>\n

Representing Bishop Fenwick High School, Christuk finished fifth in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 fly at the Massachusetts State Championships as a sophomore. She placed fifth in the 200 free and eighth in the 100 breast during her rookie season.<\/p>\n
