NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>One of the top breaststrokers in his class,\u00a0Liam Bell\u00a0<\/strong>has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama. The Atlanta, Ga. native will make the move to Tuscaloosa next fall.<\/p>\n

Bell does his club swimming with US Aquatics Club where he has achieved the Junior National standard or better in five different events.\u00a0He capped off his summer season with six personal bests and six top-5 finishes at Georgia Senior LCM Championships, which included two golds in the 50m breast and 100m breast. He also placed ninth in both the 50 and 100 breast at the 2017 NCSA Championships.<\/p>\n

A 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier, Bell currently swims for\u00a0Druid Hills High School and has earned NISCA All-American honors.\u00a0As a sophomore, he was the 100 breast and placed fifth in the 200 IM at the Georgia State Championships after finishing second in both of those events as a freshman for Chamblee High School.<\/p>\n
