He recorded best times in both fly events at NE Age Group Championships in March after competing at NE Seniors last December.<\/p>\n<p>McDonough also competes for La Salle Academy and is a four-time Rhode Island State Championship finalist. He competed in the 100 back and 200 IM as a junior after placing seventh in both the 100 back and 100 fly as a sophomore.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>&#8220;I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to attend Bryant University next fall. From the moment I stepped on campus for my unofficial until the moment I left my official visit I knew this was going to be my home \u00a0for the next 4 years. This summer, he recorded a personal best in the 200m IM at Metropolitan Senior LCM Championships before racing a trio of events at Richmond Futures. A versatile swimmer, and was a thee-time NE Senior finalist and had a strong showing at\u00a0Metropolitan Senior SCY Championships last winter.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI am proud to announce my commitment to Bryant University.
