NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Delaware has picked up a verbal commitment from Andover, Massachusetts’\u00a0Victoria Ambrose\u00a0<\/strong>who will join the Blue Hens next fall.<\/p>\n

Ambrose swims year-round for the YMCA of the North Shore under head coach\u00a0Janet Harty.\u00a0<\/strong>She most recently competed at Jenks Speedo Sectionals where she notched a best time in the 100m free and placed 12th in the 400m IM. She finaled in the 200 IM at YMCA Nationals in April and was a four-time New England Seniors finalist which included a runner-up 400 IM finish.<\/p>\n

Ambrose also competes for Andover High School and is a three-time MIAA D1 State champion. She won the 100 free and was the 200 IM runner-up as a junior and was victorious in both the 200 and 500 free during her rookie campaign.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am ecstatic to call the University of Delaware home for the next four years.\u00a0\u00a0Once I met the team and the coaches, I knew that Delaware was the place I wanted to further my education and swimming career.\u00a0\u00a0I am thankful for the opportunity to be a fighting blue hen, and I am looking forward to swimming for Coach Pablo Marmolejo and Coach Michael Walker. I\u2019d like to extend my gratitude to all my family, friends and coaches who have helped me over the years. Go Fighting Blue Hens!!!”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
