This week\u2019s Performance of the Week goes to Russian <\/span>Vlad Morozov <\/b>for his world record performance<\/span><\/a> in the short course 100 IM at this week\u2019s 2018 FINA World Cup stop in Eindhoven. <\/span><\/p>\n

Morozov has been on fire so far during this year\u2019s world cup, winning several event titles in the long course pool and setting new world cup records in the 50 free and 50 back, and this marks the first world record of this year\u2019s world cup series. <\/span><\/p>\n

Competing in the event on the first night of the meet, Morozov clipped his own world record in the event by .04, registering a 50.26 to sneak by his previous record of 50.30. Looking at splits from the old record, Morozov was out a touch slower (22.96 to 22.77) but brought back his breaststroke and freestyle legs quicker (27.30 to 27.53).
