NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Tulane University has received a verbal commitment from sprinter\u00a0Drew Petereit,\u00a0<\/strong>the Vernon Hills, Ill. native who will join the Green Wave in fall of 2019.<\/p>\n

Petereit swims year-round for Patriot Aquatic Club and has achieved the Winter Juniors standard in the 50 free. She competed at Junior West last winter and made a trio of finals appearances it the IL Senior Championships in March. She has made solid improvements over the last two seasons, shaving a half-second off her 50 free and just over two off her 100.<\/p>\n

Petereit has raced at the IHSA State Championships the last two seasons representing Vernon Hills High School.\u00a0She placed 11th in the 50 free as a junior and competed in the 50 free and 100 breast during her sophomore campaign.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n
