NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Notre Dame has received a verbal commitment from versatile\u00a0Elizabeth Fry<\/strong> who will join the Fighting Irish as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

A native of Towson, Md., Fry swims year-round with Eagle Swim Team and has a trio of Junior National cuts with a U.S. Open qualifying time in the 100 breast. She concluded a successful long course season with five lifetime bests and a bronze medal in the 50m breast at NCSAs. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American also had three second swims at NCSAs in March after posting eight top-8 finishes at the Maryland Senior SCY Championships.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“It is with great excitement that I announce my verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame. It is an honor and privilege to get this opportunity to further my education and athletic career at such an esteemed university. I cannot wait for the next four years with such an amazing team and coaching staff. Thank you to my family, coaches, and friends who have supported me throughout this process. I am proud to be a member of the Irish family!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
