NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>California’s\u00a0Amanda Hsieh\u00a0<\/strong>will make the move to the East Coast next fall after giving her verbal to the University of Pennsylvania. She will join\u00a0Camryn Carter<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Margot Kaczorowski, Bridget O’Leary<\/a>, Lyndsey Reeve<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Anna Feng<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

The Irvine, Calif. native swims year-round with Irvine Novaquatics under head coach\u00a0Ken LaMont\u00a0<\/strong>and has achieved four Winter Juniors standards. Hsieh had five top-8 performances this summer at CA MVN Junior Olympics which included a gold in the 100m free. She raced in five events at Juniors West last winter and was a 100 free finalist at Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n

Hsieh also swims for Northwood High School where she is a six-time finalist at CIF Southern DI Section Championships. During her junior season, she was the runner-up in the 100 free and placed seventh in the 200 free. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n
