free as <strong>Maksym Shemberev<\/strong> cruised to victory in 14:45.17.<\/p>\n<p>He finished 13 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s <strong>Qiu Ziao<\/strong> was second He finished in 1:51.09 to break the previous record of 1:51.27 set by Japan\u2019s <strong>Kosuke Hagino<\/strong> in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Japan\u2019s <strong>Ryosuke Irie<\/strong> finished second in 1:55.61, just ahead of Russia\u2019s <strong>Kirill Prigoda<\/strong> (1:55.71).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nic Fin<\/strong>k of the U.S. finished fourth in 1:55.87.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laszlo Cseh<\/strong> of surge to win the 100 backstroke, earning her first World Cup victory.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. swimmer was behind<strong> Kira Toussaint<\/strong> at the turn but moved ahead down the stretch to win in 55.91, breaking the short-course American record set by <strong>Courtney Bartholomew<\/strong> at the Duel in the Pool in 2015 (55.92).<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s <strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> was second in 56.07, followed by Hungary\u2019s <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> (56.32).<\/p>\n<p>Toussaint, of the Netherlands, finished fourth in 56.63.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_331048\" turn in strong performances in the breaststroke, especially in the sprinting events.<\/p>\n<p>Lima won the 50 breast in 25.92, the only man in the field to break 26.<\/p>\n<p>Slovenia\u2019s <strong>Peter Stevens<\/strong> was second in 26.10, followed by Russia\u2019s<strong> Kirill Prigoda<\/strong> (26.30).<\/p>\n<p>U.S. swimmers <strong>Nic Fink<\/strong> (26.49) and <strong>Michael
